STEAMER DISABLBED.

IN NO IMMEDIATE DANGER. (by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 7. Early this morning word reached the city that the Richardson Company’s steamer Ripple was disabled off Cape Palliser. The vessel left Wellington yesterday afternoon for Napier and Gisborne. A howling south-westerly gale raged all-night and high seas are running. The Ripple is stated to be drifting off the land- and is in up immediate danger. It is believed that another vessel is standing by.
