FOOTBALL.
THE MANAWATU MATCH. After the great display given by the combined Manawatu-Horowhenua team against the All Blacks, and the fact that quite a number of the players in that team will be in action to-morrow against Taranaki-, the match is certain to create keen interest and to draw a large crowd of spectators from all parts. Given fine weather and a consequent dry ground, there should be a good display of football. PRIMAR.Y SCHOOLS. As a curtain-raiser there will he a match between North arid South Taranaki primary school representatives, and this will be specially interesting, for it will serve to show the football being played by the boys, who will supply the seniors of the future. On Saturday, at New Plymouth, there will be a tournament for schools representing the four districts of the province, and this should be very interesting.
