Two hundred and thirty-six British scientists, men and women, were entertained here, en route to the Toronto convention of the British Association for the Advancement of Science from August 6 to 13. The discovery of a clam (shell-fish), which is believed to have been bfiried alive in a stone foundation thirty years ago, and which still, lives, coincides with the scientists’ arrival, and will engage their attention.—Reuter.
