MXJEDER OF MRS. EVANS. DRAGGED FOR A MILE. BY CABLE-PBESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT WASHINGTON, Aug. 4. A report by the American Embassy at Mexico City throws new light on the method of the assassination of Mrs. Rosalie Evans, widow of a former president of the Bank of London in Mexico. According to the Embassy the information is regarded as reliable. The murder was committed by mounted men, part of the rural guards under the aommand of General Gonzales. Mrs. Evans was roped by a lassoo and dragged by a horse for a mile, the head being almost severed from the body. The flesh on the shoulders and back was almost stripped from the body, and the face vyas completely disfigured. Private advices state that Federal scouting troops captured and executed four of the assassins. DEATH OF MRS. EVANS. MURDERER KNOWN. Received Aug. 6, 9.25 a.m SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 5. Mrs. Tetties, sister of Mrs. Evans, has announced that the name of the man vv;ho killed Mrs. Evans is known, and he will be hunted down and summarily dealt with. —Reuter.
