MISSING.
NOTED SCIENTIST. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. OTTAWA, Aug. 4. A Montreal telegram says. Sir George Green}iill, aged 84, one of the members of the British Association for the Advancement of Science, who was here for <a conference to be held at Toronto, is missing. He was on the special scientists’ train, which left Quebee on Saturday morning. He was seen when the train stopped for the party to inspect the Quebec bridge, but -when the train arrived at Montreal he had disappeared completely and has not been seen for the last two days. FOUND AGAIN. , Received Aug. 6, 9.25 a.m. TORONTO, Aug. 5. vSir George Greenhill, who was reported missing from the science party, is in Toronto, and is surprised at the anxiety caused by his absence.—Reuter.
Sir George Greenhill was formerly professor of mathematics at the Woolwich Artillery College, and was the author of several technical publications; with particular reference to aeronautics.
