NOT OBSOLETE.

DOUBTS ABOUT CHART. GROUNDING OF BRISBANE. BY CABLE—PREBS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT Received July 29, 9.45 a.m. MELBOURNE, July 29. The Naval, authorities state that although the chart of the approaches to Port Moresby is not of recent date, there is no reason to suppose that it is either Obsolete or misleading. Navigation in the .coral waters was extremely difficult, and doubtless at thctime the Brisbane grounded the conditions wore not altogether favourable. The chart in use had been corrected up to 1919. —Ans.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
