Sir Keith Smith says that England to Australia by airship in ten, days is a commercial possibility within two years. The great airships now being built by Vickers for this service will use crude oil instead of petrol, avoiding danger from fire., one of the greatest hazards with the former type of airships. Vickers’ airships will have a capacity for one hundred passengers and baggage. The ships already built will he used for experimental flights, and meanwhile Vickers are constructing two air vessels to inaugurate the ac-tuai service.—Sydney Sun Cable. PROGRESS BY ZANNIE.
