ON LONELY ISLAND. RESCUED TN TIME. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT. Received July 29, 9.15 a.m LONDON, July 28. Four French holiday-makers, including a. woman, were fishing m the English Channel when they were caught in a heavy storm. They succeeded, after two days’ buffetting, in reaching the uninhabited rocky island Eerehou, where- their boat was wrecked. They subsisted for four days on shellfish, suffering tortures from lack of water and were on the brink of collapse when rescued by Mrs. Robbins, widow of a British officer, who visits the islets weekly to feed the birds, and gave succour to the castaway fishermen. —Sydney Sun Cables.
