A man named George Cnthbert Turnbull, who has hern an inmate of the local hospital since June 25. suffering from a broken jaw, declares that he was .attacked by three men in a dark street- at Tnihaue. battered into an insensible condition and robbed <:i £BB. The police have been making inquiries, but the affair is shrouded in my.-nerv. and they are inclined to think that there is" another reason for the btoken jaw.
