APPLICATION BY BANKRUPT. (BY TELEGRAPH —CRESS ASSOCIATION.) IV ELLINGTON, .iu-y 28. The Chief Justice to-day dedup'd to grant, a discharge from bankruptcy to •James 1> raser. The official asseinecconsidered that a larger dividend s'muld be paid. Bankrupt was a lestaurant keeper and was hard hit during i!ie 1918 epidemic, when his business was closed down. He then went c.ownliill by horse racing and drinking. His Honor said he could not grant a discharge to a man who spent his creditors’ money on horses racing. In thcojd days he wouicl never get a discharge. The discharge would is-, delayed- for three years, and if the dividend recommended by the assignee v. as paid bv then the discharge voulcl be granted.
