PATEA FREEZING- WORKS. Tbc adjourned meeting of shareholders in the Patea Freezing Company is to be held on Monday, August 4 and this is the last chance the guarantors can give the farmers and business people of the districts served by these works to find the amount necessary to prevent the works being closed down and the “usable” remains carried to Smart Road and the residue scrapped. 1 understand that there is not much required to the new share list to keep the works here, and it is right up to those interested to see that the required amount to keep the works here is forthcoming. How many of the business people in this and adjacent towns really realise what it means to them if the works are removed ?
