DAIRY INSPECTORS.

PAYMENT OF SALARIES. (By Telegraph.—Special to Star.) WELLINGTON, July 24. The member for Pa.tea (Mr. J. R. Corrigan) has asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he will inquire into the present method of charging for the services of dairy inspectors, with a view of adopting a more equitable system. He pointed out that at the present time the Department contributed towards the salaries of some of the inspectors, and in other cases the dairy companies had to contribute the whole of the salaries, although all the inspectors are employed and controlled bv the Deoartment.
