A WOMAN’S PRESENCE OF MIND. fBY TEI/EGM 11’ll PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AYHAKATAXE, July 24. A gallant rescue from drowning was effected by Airs Souter at Taneatua yesterday. AA'hile crossing the AYhakatane river a gig driven by Air Gooch captized, and he was pinned- under the water. Airs Souter. who was nearby, rushed to the rescue, and held Gooch’s head up till, others arrived and extricated the man in an exhausted condition. The horse was drowned.
