HELPING CHURCHES.

LIBERAL BEQUESTS. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) INVERCAGILL, July 21. Under the will of the late Reginald Mackinnon, a retired runholcler, the following bequests are made :St John’s Anglican Church, £6000; AH Saints’ Anglican Church, £500; Riverton Anglican Climrch, £SOO. Of the residue one quarter goes respectively to St. John’s Church, Christchurch, music for up-country churches, charitable aid, and agricultural interests, with the stipulation that no portion shall he devoted to the interests of horse-racing oir kindred sports. Bequests are also left to private friends.
