TO MR B. C. BENNETT. At the Winter Show executive meetig last night good wishes were conveyed to Mr Bennett by his co-directors on the eve of his leaving with the official party of' the All -Blacks, and the hope was expressed that he would have an enjoyable time and a safe return to his home town. Messrs Corrigan (chairman), Gillanders and Page briefly spoke, the chairman expressing the opinion, which Avas shared by all, that Mr Bennett had been one of the most able, energetic and enthusiastic supporters of the Show from is inception. The farewell smoke concert arranged by the committee of townsmen has been fixed for Thursday evening in the Winter Show Buildings, and it is certain there will be a very large number present to .show their appreciation of a good fellow citizen and to wish him bon voyage.
