SOUTH CANTERBURY HUNT RACES. (BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) TIMARU, July 19. The South Canterbury Hunt" races were held to-day in cold weather, and light showers made the course sticky. There was a good attendance. The totalisator handled £14,329, against £11,577 10s last year. Results: Hadlow Hack Hurdles.—Agutor (Ellis) 1, Pomposo 2, Agnoa 3. All started. Won by a head. Time, 2.50. Pareora Steeplechase.—Charlatan (Peart) 1, Swindassa 2, Taraloa 3. All started. Won by two lengths. Time, 4.10 1-5. - South Canterbury Steeplechase.— l Paul Pry (Hall) 1, Tigerland 2, Palencia 3. Scratched: Whipcord. Won by five lengths. Time, 5.23 1-5. Levels Hack.—Knocklyn (Beale) 1, Glontarf 2, King Sol 3.' All started. "on by two and a half lengths. Time, 1.15 1-5. Washdyke Trot.—Fireman (Smith) 1, King Abdullah 2, Talent 3. All started.
