FEDERATION OF DAIRY COMPANIES.
STPv ONG LY REPRESENTATIVE MEETING. To-day at a very representative meeting cf delegates from all companies in South Taranaki, called as the outcome of the meeting held on July 2, a motion affirming the principle of fed■eFating of co-operative dairy companies and approving of co-operation for forming .such a federation was carried unanimously. Out of twenty-three factories circularised, seventeen pronounced emphatically in favour of the scheme. The meeting also stressed the urgent need of a research laboratory and dairy school, and aproved of a scheme of self-help in the matter of research, realising that the companies must bear the cost of the scheme themselves, because of its enormous benefit to the industry.
