FAIR RENTS.
A DRASTIC MEASURE. BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT Received Jnlv 19, 8.55 a.m. SYDNEY, July 19. One of the clauses in the Fair Rents Bill now before Parliament provides that no one shall refuse to let a house to any respectable and responsible person because the applicant has a child or children under a penalty not exceeding £SO. Bonuses for securing a. tenancy or payment for furniture or any other article in order to secure a tenancy , are also forbidden. The Bill debars anyone from advertising or instructing an agent that a house is not to he let to anyone with children. —- Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
