YOUNG WOMAN’S DEATH. (BY TELEGRAPH —PREBB ASSOCIATION.) DARGAVILLE, July 11. A married woman, Mrs. George Davidson, died suddenly at Tekopuru yesterday. At an inquest to-day a verdict of death from pulmonary embolus after child-birth was returned. Deceased, who was only 23 years of age. was well-known in the district. DEATH IN HOTEL FIRE, CHRISTCHURCH, July 11. George Denton, a. labourer, lost his life when the Commercial Hotel, Kaikoura, was destroyed by fire this morning. The origin of the fire is presumed to have been in the kitchen. The seven other inmates had a narrow escape.
