In accordance with its policy of fixing charges at the lowest practicable scale, the Public Trust Office has made important reductions in the commission charged for the administration of estates. Commission on the capital of estates ■vthen realised, is now charged 1 (with minor exceptions) ac- ' cording to the following scale: On the first £SOOO, 21 per cent. On the next £SOOO, 14 per cent. On the next £40,000, 1 per cent. On excess of £50,000, f per cent. The commission charged on rent or on interest on mortgages has been reduced from 5 per cent, to 24 per cent, on amounts in excess of £SOO per annum. ECONOMY WITH EFFICIENCY.
