Fat Sheep.—A larger yarding, of nearly races, including a. of 292 from Feilding, which averaged 54s 3d per head, the two too pens of 22 making 60s to 60s 6d. The sale was practically the same as last week, being firm throughout. Extra prime wethers, 525; special pens, 60s 6d ; prime wethers, 44s to 48s; medium, 39s tp 435; light, 33s to 38s; extra prime ewes, 51s; prime, 35s 6d to 395; medium, 31s 6d to 355; light ewes, 23s to 31s. Eat Cattle. —There was a keen demand for big well-finished bullocks. For prime beef the market opened briskly, notwithstanding a heavy entry, and continued so throughout. Medium and light beef were harder to sell; good beef made up to 39s 9d per 100 lbs; prime, 34s to 375; medium, 25s to 30s; inferior, 17s 6d to 245; extra prime steers, £18; a few special, £l9 2s 6d: prime steers., £l3 10s to £l7; medium, £lO to £l3; light,. £5 10s to £9 10s; ordinary, £4 15s to £7 _ 15s; extra prime cows, £lO 10s; prime, £7 to £9 os; medium, £4 15s to' £6 15s; aged, £2 15s to £4 10s. Pigs.—Choppers, £3 to £7; light baconers, £4 5s to £4 15s; heavy, £5 5s to £5 10s; extra heavy, £6 2s 6d (average price per .lb, 7-id to Sd); light porkers, £2 5s to £2 15s; heavy, £3 to £3 15s (average price per lb 8-id to 9RI). A small entry of store pigs. All lots sold well at late rates. Weaners, 15s to 21s; small stores, 23s to 28s; medium, 30s; same in pig. £3 10s to £6 10s.
