•QUARTERLY MEETING OF HAWERA CIRCUIT. , The above meeting was held in the Bible Class room yesterday. The Rev. W. J. Oxbrow presided over a large attendance of ehiircK officials and representative members. The chairjnan reported having transferred three families to Methodist churches in other towns, and having received three families. The membership was much the same as last quarter. The balance-sheet was’ adopted and favourably commented upon. Special collections authorised for the incoming quarter were as follows: Hawera church anniversary, Normanby church anniversary, S.S. arid Y.P. department. ’ ’ . . Reports of Sunday school work throughout the circuit gave proof of allround development. Hawera Sunday, school reported a record .attendance and the formation of a senior Men’s Bible Class. Normanby Sunday school still maintained a high staridard. The Boys’ Clubs, Young Worshippers’ Leagues, and junior O.E. Societies were also in a flourishing condition. .The meeting decided to invite Mr. Piper, “the Singing Evangelist,” to conduct a mission in the circuit, provided that suitable arrangements can be made. ,The chairman notified the meeting that the Rev. E. P. Blamires, general secretary of the S.S. and Y.P. department. will conduct teacher training classes during August and September. The meeting terminated iri the usual way. Supper was served by the ladies, who were cordially thanked. ,
