——♦ HA WEB .A ASSOCIATION.' A most enthusiastic meeting of the Hawera Boxing Association was held last evening. Arrangements in connection with the forthcoming tournament. on the 18th inst were dealt with. Most encouraging reports are coming to hand, and it seems certain that large entries will be made in the various events, and that, the sport ; will be of the, very best. The Centre conference is also being held on the 19th inst in Hawera. ; The following officials for the tournament have been appointed:—Beferee, ■Mr Earle Stewart, Wellington; judges, Messrs G. H. Blanchard (Marlborough), W. B. Foley (Stratford), B. A. Guise (Wellington), J. E. Staples (Wellington), M. Watchorn (Palmerston N.); ring announcer, Ms. P. O’Dea; timekeepers, Messrs J. Russel and F. Foden; ring committee, Messrs. T. Reynolds-, T. Hawke; Call Stewart, Mr Leo. Marter; clerk of scales, Mr. J. Anderson; found steward, Air. C. Ferguson; glove steward, Air T, Reynolds; match steward, Mr T. Bowen; official seconds, Alessrs D. Laing, Rlee Henrv, W. Bailey. . . Strong committees were set up to deal with seating accommodation and enteretainments. The club tournament set down for July ?lst has been postponed.
