It is also stated authoritatively. that the New Zealand Amalgamated Society of Engineers and Metal. Workers has issued ballot-papers on the question of severance from, the Alliance. If the tAvo. organisations name ( ] decide on seA'erance, the Federation will comprise eight organisations, namely, the seamen’s, watersiders, miners, drLers, tra.m\A-aymen’s, storemen and packers’ workers unions, and the timber workers.
