A London cable message reports the departure of the Ruabine- for Wellington. ' ,*■ When a. bicycle has been lost for a little over five? .and a half years, one would naturally consider (remarks an exchange) that it could well be written off as a loss. Such, however, need not necessarily be the case, as is proved' by the experience of a Gisborne man. On December 16, 1918, his bicycle was stolen. After advertising for it, and getting no reply, lie gave it lip as lost, and promptly forgot all about- it. Recently the bicycle was discovered, and once again it is in possession of its rightful owner. The bicycle was of aii unusual pattern, having some ornamentation engraved bn the front forks. When the bicycle was discovered the police took it to a cycle shop proprietor and he immediately recognised it. The engraving had been cleverly filled np with lead, and the general appearance of the bicycle considerably altered.
