BY CABLE—PEESS ASSOCIATION—COPYEIGHT. , Received July 2, 9.45 a.m. LONDON, July 1. «omen chased cowboys for autographs before the hearing of the rodeo summonses at ' the Hendon Police Court. Inspector Porter gave evidence that he saw a steer in a private contest dragged between five and six yards, its horns ploughing the ground. A cowboy, Edkins, thrice roped' and threw the steer, after which the animal was scarcely able to move, and fell on its knees after the fourth throw and lay still. Later Inspector Porter saw the steer dead in the stadium with its neck broken. It had been shot; its throat had also been cut. He saw an-other-with a loose horn.—Sydnev Sun Cables.
