ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
HAND WOUNDED. (BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION '> . ASHBURTON, June 30. V Archibald Fenton, of Methven, aged 22, was admitted to hospital on Saturday suffering from a bullet wound in the right hand. The accident is said to be due to a pea rifle discharging accidentally while in the hands of Fenton’s friends. MILL WORKER KILLED. HOKITIKA, June 30. A fatal accident occurred this afternoon at the Ward Road mill, Karieria, William McFayden, a married man with no children, being struck by a wire hauling rope and killed instantly. The deceased was about 40 years of age.
