SPECIAL MEETING &F COUNCIL.
The Hawera. Borough .Council last night discussed in committed .a recommendation of the J Greater Hawera Committee to consider the advisability of taking steps to include Tiiritown, Ramanui, and Tawhiti in the ‘borough. The recommendation was. adopted. Grs. J. Goodwin and -R. o.’ Surrey were absent. His Worship the Mayor and Crs. Osborne and Burdekin were appointed a committee. to interview the County Council, with a view to arriving at an agreement, and the Mayor and Gr. Burdekin were selected to watch the council’s interests with regard to the Highwavs, Motor Vehicles, and Tyre Tax Bills.
