E. DIXON & CO.
PIANOS AND GRAMOPHONES. The enterprising firm of ' E. Dixon and Co. have taken thirty feet of space, their chief reason for showing this year being to bring before the public the several models of Charles Begg and Co.’s pianos, made in their Dunedin piano factory. The tone of these pianos is all that can be desired, while the oak case -is -first-class workmanship. The firm are making arrangements to exhibit pianos by Chappell, Wiridover, Hopkinson, and Rogers, * instruments which are in the front rank of British manufacture. They will also make provision for the world renowned Duo -Art Piano Player to be on show. In the gramopho'ne department they, will make a special display .of the famous Chaney. Foust Cheney,; the inventor of the Cheney, says of his famous phonograph: “It was obvious to me that the mechanical processes of making recordslost much of, the colour-and real beauty of the original and that no phonograph did anything to restore it. The 'Cheney takes the devitalised record, and., by setting up sympathetic vibration and reactions puts- back all the beauty,' colour,- personality and quality of tone which was lost.” A visit/to this stand of music will repay visitors to the Show.
