A White House .spokesman declared that the- United States Avoultl undoubtedly be represented by the customary unofficial observer at the inter-Allied conference ol Premiers in London, scheduled for July 10, but would not be officially represented. The .spokesman explained that while the Go\crnment was eager to assist in the solution of European problems, it AA'as equally anxious to avoid any action intcrpie table as interference- in European political affairs; adding that the United States had as yet received no formal imitation to participate in the confer ence, and therefore no formal statement was issuable-.
