WEDDING.
*• . DYSON—HA WKES. A very pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Marys Church, Hawera, on June 11, when Doreen Annie May, eldest daughter of Mi- and Mrs C. Hawkes, of Fraser Hoad, was married to Arthur Ouen Dyson, eldest son of Mr and Mrs •3. S. Dyson, of Ohangai, the Rev. H. \\ . Monaghan officiating. The brides who- was given away by her father, wore a dress of satin moraeain and cite lace. Her veil, a present from her sister Ii is. was held in place by a spray ol orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of autumn blooms and maiden hair iern, and was attended bv her sister. Miss \ era Hawkes, as,bridesmaid, who was attired in a dainty frock ol crepe de chine. Mr Charles Dyson, brother of the bridegroom, carried out tlie duties of best man. A reception was afterwards held alt the Carlton Dining Rooms, where; tlie usual toasts were honoured. Later the happy couple left by motor for Man garni i iimit showers of rice and confetti and the host wishes of their many relations and friends.
