EVEREST CLIMB.

* — LACK OF DIRECT NEWS. *Y CABLE —PRIBB ABSOOIAEIOBt—COPYRIGHT ( , DELHI, June 23. Advices from Calcutta state that there is great bewilderment at the nonreceipt of direct news from the Everest expedition. The scanty information has so far been received from London. Even General Bruce (commander of the expedition), who is in Darjeeling awaiting the party, is without knowledge other than that in the English cables. The matter is all the more strange because Darjeeling has been in regular communication with, the party so far. General Bruce Has issued a statement that he knows nothing of the alleged disaster.
