Mr. Justice Ashmore decided at Edinburgh that under the Scottish law a woman was legally married to. a, man who died before the. marriage; further, that the child horn was legitimate. The woman swore that she was engaged to be married, and that the banns were published, but the bridegroom died nine days before the date fixed for the wedding. The child was born eight months after the father’s death.
