Mr Herbert Cummins, British Charge d ’Affairs, - has left for the United otates en route to home. When the train pulled out a scose of Britishers gathered at the station to sa.y farewell and shouted: “Hip, Hip, Hurrah for Mr Cummins! Long Live England!” With the exception of the Chilean Minister, all the Latin American diplomatists stationed here rerained from bidding Mr Cummins farewell, but members of the United States Embassy and European representatives were present. Aly sister’s husband, who is now dead, was president of the Bank of London in Mexico,” she stated. “My sister has been supporting- herself from her ranch despite constant harrassment by the Mexican Governmnt.” Even letters to Airs Evans were stopped, and once her ranch was surrounded by members of the agrarian party stealing land on orders from the Government. Mr Cummins protested vigorously a°-ainst such treatment: " 41 . Airs Pettus said her sister would stay on the ranch until given undisputed possession, even at the risk of losinoher life.
