When Sergeant McKenzie, of Sydenham, visited 33 Montreal Street yesterday, where a storekeeper had found the dead body of a 70-year-old widow, Mrs Elizabeth Hunsley, he found a filthy and untidy house. The only food he could discover was a. dirty crust of bread and some butter. He also found almost £lO in cash r.nd a. bank book, showing a credit of about- £I2OO. At. the inquest held to-day before Mr Widdowson, S.M., a verdict was returned that the woman had been found dead, the cause of death being heart failure, following exhaustion accelerated by starvation..
