The Canadian Pacific- liner Metamima collided with the Italian steamer Clara, camus seven miles off Cape Race in a tog. lhe Metagama’s stokehold is reported to be full ol water. The Claracamus was badly damaged. Both vessels are heading for-St. John. The Metagama was bound from England to Montreal. . Later. With water gaining on the pumps, the captain was forced to beach the Metagama on a shoal near the drv dock.
