Following the action of postal workers in Toronto, Montreal, and several other cities, in striking to-night according to schedule, the postmasters have been notified that the men will be given till ten o’clock on Thursday morning to return to work, otherwise they, will be replaced. Acting-Po st-master-General Stewart said mails must be moved. Postmasters were instructed to take the necessary steps to this end. BRITAIN AND MEXICO. , LONDON, June 19. The Daily Chronicle says: A War Office secret experiment with aerially launched and wirelessly controlled projectiles is hearing important fruit. An entirely new type of aircraft was tested. It is described :as an air torpoclo boat. It carries aloft torpedoes wings, rudders and elevators like those of an ordinary aeroplane. When fired the torpedoes glide to. the earth, wirelessly steered from an aeroplane towards their objective. The experiments suggest that squadrons of aerial torpedo craft could possibly destroy any objective, regardless of size, from a distance of many miles.
