GISBORNE FIRE.
PRIVATE HOTEL DESTROYED. (by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION A GISBORNE, June 19. Early this evening fire practically destroyed the Arcadia Private Hotel, a large two-.storey wooden building containing fifty-five rooms. It was owned by Mr. T. G. Lawless and occupied by Mr. W. O’Reilly. No furniture was saved and most of the boarders lost their private effects. The insurance on the furniture was £IOOO, but the amount on the building is not ascertainable.
