ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
MISADVENTURE. (B¥ TELEGRAPH— PRESS ASSOCIATION.T WELLINGTON, June 19. An inquest into the death of Walter Lester, railway surfaceman, who was killed by a tram near Ngahaurano-a last Friday, was held to-day. ' Evidence was given that owing to the boisterous weather the men were making for shelter when the deceased was struck by the engine. The engine-driver stated that owing to the stormy conditions the visibility was had and he saw no pne on the track. The verdict was that death was due to misadventure no blame being attachable to the driver. INJURED IN COLLISION. PUKEIvOHE, June 19. A tirap containing Alexander Mcivobbie collided last night between Bucklnnd and Pukekohe with a motorcycle and side-chair, Wesley Kitson, a £v'd about 20, was on the cycle, and suffered a compound fracture of the leg. Claude aged 16, who was m the chair, was bruised, and is unconscious. Mcßobbie was bruised, and is suffering from shock. Webb and Kitson are in hospital.
