FORD EFFICIENCY.
DEMONSTRATION BY MR BROWN. A demonstration of considerable inteiest to motcv mechanics was given at . rt -„ Kemp,s garage yesterday by Mr J L. Brown, of the Colonial Motor 00, Ltd., Wellington, when Ford dealeis from all over Taranaki were present dS \i' °^ ler interested persons. Mir Brown, in eomnanv with the branch manager, Mr E. R." Bridges, is travelling throughout New Zealand demonstrating in the use of certain pieces of garage equipment, which he shows make for more efficient service at a gieatly reduced cost. He states that the object of his mission is to allow Ford dealers to see the latest and. most ivg-to-date methods of repairing Ford cars. r - riie first appliance demonstrated was the K. R. W ilson combination machine, which carried out every operation necessary in repairing motors. One of the most important features was that it brought to the local Ford dealer the same system and methods as employed in the Ford Motor Co., Canada. The Manly assembling table was also demonstrated. This piece of equipment handled the motor while it was being dismantled or assembled. ° Tlie use of a crank case aligning jig for crank cases which required to be straightened or repaired was also demonstrated, and a little time was also spent by Mr Brown in showing liow a modern garage should be laid out. The use of micrometers was also stressed, it being pointed out that all operations were being done strictly to measurement.
