INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION. i " n CABLl —PRjiSS ASSOCIATION —COPYBIOHJ OTTAWA. June 18. A Toronto message says: Delegates to the International Rotary Convention rose to thejr feet and gave rousing cheers when Taunijiro Miyaoka, a Japanese representative, a past president of the Tokio Club, was announced to speak. He said that no solution of human affairs was just or would stand the test of time unless it was based on the dictates of the heart and conscience. There were no boundary lines in the Rotary the feelings which characterise Rotary characterised the actions of nations there would be no international questions. It was announced that registration totalled 8605, including 5946 representatives of twenty countries. Clubs repre. sented total 1393. During the day greetings were received from the King and Queen of England, the Viceroy of India, King of Denmark. General Smuts, President Coolidge, also the Premiers and Presidents of Peru, Uruguay, Canada, Newfoundland, Brazil, Belgium and Mexico.
