SHEEP BREEDERS.
NORTH ISLAND ASSOCIATION. (BY TELEGRAPH-^—press association.) PALMERSTON N., June 18. Ihe annual meeting of the New 7 Zealand Sheepbreeders’ Association (North Island) was held this morning. Mr. S. R. Lancaster w r as re-elected president, and other officers elected w 7 ere-. Vicepresident, Mr. H. B. Stuckey; three members to the council, Messrs H J Hagg. C. E. Vile, and W. C. Knight j delegate to the Agricultural Conference 9’ e - The annual report stated that the outstanding feature of th© w 7 ork of the past year was the large number of new flocks registered, the same totalling sixty-one, and during th© year ther© had b©en a large importation of stud sheep from Britaiji. The position for sheepfarmers generally looked extremely bright. A council meeting allotted the medals as follow's: Champion Southdowm ram, Wairarapa; two-tooth Southdown ram, Masterton, Feilding, Manawatu, Wanganui, Marton and district, Cambridge, .and Hawke’s Bay associations; bhiopshire ram, Alartoii and district; English Leicester ram, Auckland; Border Leicester, Wanganui. Sixty new members w 7 ere elected.
