Arrived.—Naranda, from Dunedin. The State Treasurer (Mr Cocks) attributes the fact that 85 per cent of the New South Wales loan is left with the underwriters to political changes in Europe. He says that it does not carry the slightest reflection on the stability of the State. He also states that by comparison with the recent Queensland loan New South Wales is paying between £60,000 and £70,000 per annum less in interest. NEWCASTLE, June 16.
