Callaghan’s dam is a full sister to Eudorus, sire of Eurvthmic and of dozens of either good horses in Australia, and descends from the same branch of the No. 3 Family that produced Toxophilite, Windhound, and Fiatcatetier. Eudorus had, up to 1523, 176 winners of over £IOO,OOO. Callaghan won the Birmingham Handicap (£820) in England and several races in New Zealand. The St. Simon-Ilampton blood lias been markedly successful in sires all the world over, the great Persimmon and his brothers, Diamond Jubilee and Florizel 11., are prominent representatives who all left great turf performers and good brood mares at the stud.
