THE WEATHER
COLD NIGHT EXPECTED. The Government Meteorologist telegraphed that for 24 hours from 9 a.m. to-dav the indications are for southeasterly winds, strong to' gale. The weather will probably prove squally, with heavy showers. The night wilt probably be very cold. Barometer unsteady ; sens heavy; tides poor.
