KOHI CONCERT. (from a Corersponden t). Un luesday evening, June 10, a-very enjoyable concert and dance were given rt + T^. bl before an audience of about 130 people, in aid of the local Sch ??-i fl V lds ‘ Tlie ball, which was preUily decorated, had also an electric lght installation for the occasion, the work of Messrs, Sheldon and Clifton •Hone, ihe concert opened with two pumofore recitals by the punils of Miss EL. Hopkinson. Trio, Frances Powell. May Waterland and Rita McCall • so lo, i>la .y .aterland. .Several songs and recitations were given by the local r a?- rtpblren, under the supervision or Muss Price, to whom much credit is due The Kohi Pierrot Troutie, represented by Mrs B. Waterland, Miss D. Bates, Messrs Colin 'Campbell, H. Woodyear-Smith, and B. Waterland gave seA-eral topical buirlesciues and songsmcludmg a rendering of Tosti’s Goodbye,” by Mrs Waterland, which was enthusiastically applauded. After the interval a very prettv plav was staged, entitled, “My Lordin' Liver v.” Ihe cast included: Mrs W. N. Hughes as Lady Sybil,” Miss M. Ball, “Rose.” Miss \Y. Bates as “Laura,” Mr Colin Campbell as “Lord Thirlmere,” Mir Neil McLean as “Hopkins,” a footman, Mr M. \v oodvear-Smith as Spigott, a butler, and Mr Eric Black as “Robert,” a page boy. At the conclusion of the concert the National Anthem was sung, and Mr McCall, on behalf of the school committee, thanked all present for the interest and support, which was verv encouraging. jY very bountiful supper was then provided bv the Kohi ladies which was appreciated by all. The remainder of the evening was soent in dancing, with Mrs Campbell as pianist. At the request of seA*eral members of the audience, a reproduction of the entertainment ivill probably be given in u averley at a later date.
