FEAR OF POVERTY.
“J MUST DO IT.” 3Y CABLE— rft.KSS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT MELBOURNE, June 13. The facts disclosed in connection with the deaths of Pasqualin and Vivier indicate that they had come to the end of their financial resources, and that the man, in fear of poverty, took his life and was followed by his despairing companion. Pasqualm left a letter expressing deep love for Vivier, and adding, “But 1 must go. It is for the best.” Vivier had an engagement as dancer at a Melbourne music hall. [A previous message stated that a tragedy involving the deaths of two cocaine victims, Alberto Pasqualin and Louise Vivier, who were living together, occurred in an East Melbourne flat. It appears that Pasqualin, following a night’s drinking, took an overdose of the drug, and the woman, stating she would die with him. took a heavy dose and fell on the bed beside him, both dying in hospital shortly afterwards.]
