PER PRESS ASS'>CIATION Christchurch, November 11. For the second day of the Metropolitan Show, fine weather was experienced. The attendance was larger than on the corresponding day last year, the takings at the jgates totalling £241, as against £2Ol last year. So far as the animal exhibits were concerned, cattle made a much more imposing display than last year. MR R. D. D. MCLEAN'S MERINOS CHAMPIONSHIP FOR EWE. The merino sheep section was sensibly increased in numbers by the capital entries of Mr R. IX D. McLean, of Hawke's Bay. In merinos fine combing, Mr McLean v*as awarded the championship for ewe over 16 and under 28 months.
