Rifle Shooting

THE DONNELLY CUP. The handsome cup, which was purchasfid by Mr G. P. Donnelly while in England, and presented to the Huwke's Bay Mounted Rifles, and which was allotted for competition between the Waipukurau and Hastings troops was fired for on Wednesday last at vVuipukurau and Te Mata. The Hastings troop won by 101 points. The conditions were: Six men aside, seven shots at 200 and 500 yards. Following were the scores :

o. HASTINGS BIFLES. The following team has been selected to represent the Hastings Rifles in the Coleman Shield competition at Waipawa on Friday : —Lieut Bishop, Sgts McLeod, McKay, and Ryder, Corporals Rymonds and Taylor,Bugler Tong, Privates Bishop Douglas, McCulloch, Sullivan, and Bcale. Emergencies—Corporul Smith, Sgt Thompson, and Private Stanley.
