(Per Press Association). Christchurch, Novamber 6 Yesterday the visitors at the Exhibition numbered 15,987. 2000 more than on Saturday. The Maori pa has been visited by about 8000 persons since the opening, but the absence of a guide tc explain things is felt by manv visitors. It is expected that the Premier will meet the Exhibition Commissioners ta-day to discuss the difficulties that have arisen between them.

The Preur.er of Western Australia has advised the President of the Exhibition that Mr G. A. Julius, B.Sc. M.E., will represent that State at the New Zealand International Exhibition, and will be in charge of the timber display made by it. Mr Vincent T. Taylor, Aeronaut, of Sydney, has made a proposition to the Exhibition authorities by which he proposes to give a display of baloons and parachutes within the Exhibition Grounds. The terms are favourable, and the proposal is having consideration.

Supplies of badges to all members of tho Local Advisory Committees have arrived from Melbourne, and are now available to Committee men on application to the secretary. Code's Brass Band, of Melbourne, will be amongst the competitors in the Quick Step and Grand Selection Contest of the Exhibition to be held in February in the Exhibition Grounds.

There is every prospect that the Grand Choir and Church Choir competition, to be held in December next, will be successful, as a number of entries have been received As the organ will be used in connection with the Grand Choir Contests, arrangements can be made for orgauists to have a practice on same, Captain Bollans, of the Hiuemoa, advised the Exhibition authorities of his arrival at the Blurf on Saturday, and that he had brought from the Southern Islands the following:—Fur seals, sea lions, sea pups, mollyhawks, parraquets, albatross, penguins and wingless ducks. In the meantime Mr Ayson, of the Fisheries Department, will take charge of the animals and birds, and same will be quartered in the Acclimatization Society's gardens. Ultimately they will be placed in the aviary now in course of erection in the i Exhibition Grounds.

Excellent entries are being received for the musical and elocutionary competitions, which take place in December next. The local manager of the Union Steamship Company has supplied the Chairman of the Executive Commissioners with a complete list of all the Union Company's arrangements regarding fares in connection with the Exhibition.
